Cohort Timeline
The Anchor Cohort has two main phases:
Recruitment and Capacity-Building Phase
November 2020 - May 2021
The cohort has a six-month capacity-building recruitment phase, starting from launch webinars in November 2020 and running until late spring 2021. This phase is open to all prospective teams, who are encouraged to engage in the capacity-building exercises and supports as a prologue to the cohort selection - and as valuable experience regardless of the selection outcome. A two-step application process will select place-based collaboratives from across Canada to come together in a two-year cohort.
During this phase, Nourish will offer a series of webinars and collaborative learning opportunities available at no cost to support prospective teams to prepare their Expression of Interest and full application. These sessions are informed by Western and Indigenous systems change and innovation frameworks, including Awareness-Based Systems Leadership, Transition Design, and Traditional Foodways. Participants will have a chance to build knowledge and skills for leading health system change, regardless of whether they decide to proceed with submitting an application to the cohort.
Anchor Collaborative Cohort Phase
June 2021 - May 2023
A cohort of Anchor Collaborative teams from across Canada will be selected in late spring 2021. An initial virtual convening will be hosted, and the cohort will continue to learn and exchange over the two years that follow, experimenting with new interventions that move us toward a collective transition to a more equitable and sustainable future. All direct costs associated with participating in the cohort, inclusive of retreats, mentorship and coaching, and learning opportunities, are covered by Nourish.
All teams that submit a full application are requested to hold June 1-4, 2021 in their calendars to enable participation in the first virtual cohort retreat, should they be selected for the cohort.
Two-Step Cohort Application Process:
There is a two-step application process to apply for the Anchor Collaborative Cohort. Planning grants for developing a full application are available; individuals or teams can access these grants by requesting one when they submit their EOI.
The Recruitment Package outlines in detail how to submit an Expression of Interest.
